The Melbourne Tigers Junior Girls Development Squad is back for 2022!
Designed to prepare girls to commence their Melbourne Tigers Junior Representative playing career in the VJBL. Development Squad will focus on building the core fundamental skill set to enable athletes to try-out and compete at the representative level.
| Commences: | Sunday 6th February – First week school returns Term #1 2022 |
| Age Group: | For girls turning 7, 8, 9 & 10 in 2022 |
| Duration: | Every Sunday across School Terms 1, 2 & 3 |
| Location: | MSAC: Sundays. 9:30am – 11:00am |
| Breaks: | NO Development Squad during the school holidays and other Sundays throughout the year: 10th April (Melb F1 GP); 17th April (Easter Sunday) |
| Coaches: | Coach Arthur and other Melbourne Tigers experienced coaches |

Uniform: Players are required to purchase their own Size 5 basketball and reversible Tigers training singlet (available from the uniform store)

| Development Squad is organised into teams to enter 2 tournaments throughout the year |
| Melbourne Tigers Junior Tournament. Fri 1st – Sun 3rd July (middle weekend of July school holidays) – Dandenong |
| Development tournament. End of Term 3 in September 2022 – TBC |
Development Squad will prepare players for the Melbourne Tigers Junior Girls representative try-outs in October 2022
Development Squad players are expected to be actively playing domestic basketball
