GERI BACK WITH TIGERS

Former elite Tiger junior Geraldine McCorkell, is back at the ‘den’!  Geri will join the Melbourne Tiger’s NBL1 South Womens’ team for the 2020 season.

Geri played as a Tiger from U12 to U18, before moving to Dandenong to participate in the  BigV and SEABL competitions, prior to heading to college in the United States. Geri played a key role with the University of Idaho throughout her four college years, averaging 16.6 ppg and 7.8 rpg in her Senior season.  2018 saw the return of Geri to the Tigers’ SEABL team before she joined Diamond Valley for the inaugural NBL1 competition.

Under head coach Kristi Harrower, Geri adds strength on the boards and is a high percentage shooter who will be an important player for the Tiger’s NBL1 South women, as they look to improve on their 2019 season.

Also returning for the Tigers’ fold is Mel Prior who, as a back-up ‘big’, gave valuable NBL1 minutes in 2019 and adds size, defensive prowess and reliable shooting to the 2020 roster.
