For players 12 to under 18 athletes born 2007 to 2015
First Tryout session commences Sunday 1 October
Tryouts will run for 3 weekends concluding Sunday October 15th
Melbourne Tigers Junior Basketball Club strives to assist in the development and empowerment of young women and men through sport and all of its undertakings.
Melbourne Tigers are the representative teams of Melbourne Central Basketball Association. We’ve enjoyed great success across all ages, and looking forward to another fantastic year ahead.
Overall, the Melbourne Tigers play a vital role in shaping the next generation of athletes and contributing positively to the broader community. We offer young players opportunities to excel, develop a passion for the sport, and become well-rounded individuals with valuable life experiences.
UNDER 20s
Registrations are now open for 2006 and 2005 born athletes wishing to try out for our 2024 VJBL Under 20s Girls Team.
Tryout dates:
Sunday 22 October 10:30am – 12pm, MSAC
Sunday 29 October 10:30am – 12pm, MSAC

Age group compulsory sessions will be communicated via TEAMAPP
Compulsory (all athlete) training sessions
All of our compulsory training sessions will be held at the Melbourne Sports & Aquatic Centre (MSAC), Aughtie Drive, Albert Park.
Friday and midweek sessions by invitation only
These sessions will be held at local schools. Parents will be notified via TEXT MESSAGE if you child/player is required to attend.

Locations & times
Specific times for tryout basketball sessions will be divided into 1.5 or 2 hour blocks per age group, within the overall time blocks outlined below. Under 20 Tryouts will be held in November and December. More information will be communicated towards the end of September.
