MELBOURNE TIGERS SIGN YOUNG GUNS

The Melbourne Tigers are excited to announce the signing of exciting prospect Zac Triplett to their 2020 NBL1 South roster.

Triplett has represented Victoria at u18 and u20 levels. The 195cm sharpshooting guard played with the Keilor Thunder in 2019 in the Big V, averaging 17 ppg and was 39% from the ‘land of plenty’.  Zac has committed to the University of Portland for 2020 but will still have time to light up the Tigers’ scoreboard before he departs.

Joining Triplett are Mason Gaze and Taj Chehhal, both of whom have come through the Tigers’ junior program and who dominated the Big V (Youth League) in 2019.  Like his hall of fame father, Mason is a threat behind the three-point line, an excellent passer and reads the floor very well. Taj has amazing handles and makes the players around him better.  Both are looking forward to taking their games to higher levels in the NBL1 competition.

The Tigers stage their first home game at MSAC on Sunday 19th April.
