Tigers Juniors Mason and Taj Stay on in 2023

The Melbourne Tigers are pleased to announce the return Mason Gaze and Taj Chehhal to their NBL1 South Men’s team for 2023.

These emerging talents are products of the Tigers’ strong Junior and Youth League programs. They are shining examples of what dedication to your craft and commitment and loyalty to a common goal can achieve.

Averaging 12 points, 5 rebounds and 3 assists per game in 2022, 21 year old Mason is looking to further his impact on his game in 2023. On re-signing with his home club, Mason stated “the work we’ve been doing in the off season has given me a lot of confidence on both ends of the floor. I believe the team has developed a lot and will be a highly competitive.”

21 year old Taj said “ I’m very excited for this upcoming NBL1 season. It’s going to be great, not only individually for myself, but also what we will be able to accomplish as a team. The squad is deeper, with the new additions making us more competitive.”
